Friday 29th October 2010 saw over 25 members and friends of Suffolk Holstein Club coming together for our quiz night. This was the first time that the club had organised an event such as this which was held in the clubhouse of Harleston Young Farmers. Eight rounds of taxing questions saw participants testing their knowledge in a number of subjects such as entertainment, pot luck, local history, music, famous faces and logos. Quiz master for the evening was Nick Dain whilst the quiz was put together by Helen Reeve, Suffolk Club Chairman.
The winners, were the aptly named 'Genius' who were Margaret and Graham Vale, Rachel and John Jordan and Jim Ryan. Coming very close in second place were the HYB team - the young 'uns. Many thanks to all those who attended and took part in such good spirit!
Suffolk Holstein Club are busy planning their next programme which looks set to be as action-packed and as interesting as ever. Coming up in February, we have a joint bowling night with Norfolk HYB, our Annual Dinner on 1st April, Stockjudging night, farm walk and a possible trip to Great Yarmouth for a night of greyhound racing all in the pipeline.
