Northumbria Holstein Club AGM

Northumbria Holstein Breeders Club held their AGM and herd competition prize giving recently in Stocksfield. The awards were presented by Mr and Mrs Whiteford from Brampton . Mr Willie Whiteford judged the herds competition last August and returned to the club for the AGM.

With the formalities of the club business concluded, Willie addresses the club , summarising his enjoyable 2 days , going round the farms judging. He commented on the high standards of cattle we have in the region and in particular the enthusiasum and commitment of the members .

As well as the presentations for the herds competition, the Chairmans shield was awarded to Amy Kirsopp for her contributions and achievements in Young Breeders.
The John Moffitt Memorial  Rose Bowl was awarded to Mrs Marion Watson, our club secretary, in recognition of her years of work for the club. Marion has been club secretary for over 20 years and this award couldn’t have gone to a more worthy recipient .

The supper for the evening was sponsored by Farmway.
Northumbria Holstein Breeders Club meet have regular meetings throughout the winter months as well as stockjudging evenings in the Spring, herds competition and calf show.
