When bad weather forced the cancellation of the second day of the Suffolk Show earlier in the year, members of Suffolk Holstein Club were forced to make the decision of how their HYB members would qualify for the All Breeds All Britain calf show in October.
Using contacts within the Club, Suffolk Holstein Club, held their very own calf show for the first time in a number of years at Norwich Cattle Market on Sunday 12th August. With glorious sunny weather, the day was a huge success thanks to the hard work of Club and committee members and of course, to HYB co-ordinator, Margaret Vale, who did a sterling job of organising a fantastic day with first-class showmanship on display and an excellent array of calves on show. Master judge for the day was Roger Steeples who travelled down from his Cramar herd with wife Diane, on her birthday - what a great way to celebrate your birthday! we were also joined by coloured breeds so thanks must go to all of those exhibitors who supported the show.
