The Western Holstein Club has had a busy last couple of months holding a number of events allowing us to encourage our HYB members.  We firstly commenced with a Linear and Stockjudging training day which offer the opportunity for all young members to have a go at stockjuding and linear as well as getting a bit of practice on reason giving.  

 

Thank you to our coaches for the day, Andy Jones and Dave Bourne.  Following this we sent a fantastic team (Larissa Jones, Mark Robinson, Emily Costello, Steph Beresford, Lizzie Mercer, Jodie Nutsford, Harriot Edge and Bob Crank) to Aintree for the HYB Competitions Day and they certainly did us proud coming fourth overall.  Well done all of you!

 

Whilst we were all in the mood for some stockjuding we completed our three evening stockjudgings kindly hosted by the Rees family (Dalebank), the Platt family (Lachstone) and the Ollier family (Hollymere).  Thank you to everyone who helped before the events and on the evenings, the cows looked tremendous and led to be three very successful evenings with the overall results as follows:
