The West Midland Holstein Club had the pleasure of hosting a winter meeting with guest speaker, Michael Eavis in late November. This meeting was kindly sponsored by Kite Consulting. More than 50 members and guests enjoyed a great evening in Gloucester.
Michael gave us a great insight into the running of the farm, dairy unit as well as the world famous Glastonbury Festival. He is justifiably proud of all these achievements, and of winning the NMR/RABDF Gold Cup in 2014.
John and Pam Taylor manage the dairy unit, and Michael acknowledges their enormous contribution to the success. Plans for the future included a more automated milking system and winning the Gold Cup twice more!
