Our February meetings' speaker was none other than our own Mr Alan Swale of the famous Joylan prefix and a room full of over 60 people were well treated to an excellent evenings' listening.

Alan took on the farm from his father when he was only 17 years old and we all know the success that has been achieved since.

Some Alan Swale quotes;
'When you're 20, you know it all, when you're 45 you know most of it and but by the time you're 75 you realise you know nowt!'

His wife Joyce describes him as 'honest, forthright and determined'.

'Ambition is half a blessing, half a curse and can get the better of you.....don't let it'.
'Form is only temporary, class is permanent', a quote borrowed from Peter Heffering who Alan met and admired many years ago.

 'Always enjoy your moment of success but never let it spoil another man's day'.

'The only people who never make mistakes are those who never do anything'.

'Knowing Swaley is knowing a roller coaster ride!'

Stephen Garth gave the vote of thanks describing the talk as 'Box Office'.

Congratulations and very well done to Tom Stable on the runners' up award to The Presidents’ Medal.
