A date is still to be finalised for April’s herd day visit to Andrew Birkle’s Whinchat herd. On the day members should meet at 11am at Dungehill Farm, Wide Lane, Wymeswold, Loughborough, LE12 6SE.

 

The Club’s quiz will take place early April at the Clarendon Arms, Kenilworth (opposite the castle), 8.00pm, teams of 4 and refreshments £10.

 

Young Breeders Weekend Away, on the 18th and 19th April Midland Young Breeders will be travelling north to Penrith to visit Newton Rigg College where YB member Sarah Sutton is assistant herdsperson. After a tour around the new dairy unit they will visit Warnelview Holsteins in the afternoon, followed by some human bowling on Sunday.

 

The club is arranging the Spring Trip to South Wales where we will visit herds and enjoy local sights over a three day, two night stay, in early June.

 

Peter Marshall of the Overseal herd will host an evening herd visit on Wednesday 15th July at 7.00pm.
