Western Holstein Club

The Western Holstein Club shared the Christmas spirit with those attending the December sale at Beeston Auction. We offered mulled wine and home-made mince pies to all attending the sale on what was a cold morning.  It was a lovely opportunity for us to catch up with friends and get to know a few people we haven't met before.

In February 34 members took a coach to London for an overnight theatre trip - taking in Billy Elliot on the first evening and the matinee showing of Matilda the Musical on the second day.  There was also an opportunity to visit the BBC Studios in Regent Street or Westminster Abbey.

The members that went to the BBC Studios had a tour of the news and weather rooms as well as the One Show studio, they also got the chance to read the news and weather.

An alternative tour was arranged around Westminster Abbey where a very informative guide gave an insight into day to day life.  Both tours were very much enjoyed and the trip finished with a lovely meal and chance for a group photo.

Members have been busy with the ‘Top 10’ herd competition in February, an opportunity to show ten cows or heifers and the much anticipated results will be announced at a later stage.
