Lanarkshire Stockjudging Competition

The Club held their annual Stockjudging Competition on Friday 12th June, 2015 at Crumhaugh Farm, Stonehouse – by kind permission of the Baillie family. This also let everyone view the ‘Dalserf’ Herd in their new home since moving the milking portion to Crumhaugh from Over Dalserf Farm based in Ashgill.

The night proved a success with 138 taking part from all over Central and South West Scotland. We also had several sponsors, whose generosity helped make the night it was.

Bryce Sloan, from Darnlaw Farm, Auchinleck was our Judge, where Robbie Scott came out the Highest Individual winning the Galloway and MacLeod Salver with a successful score of 222 points out of a possible 240.

Results were as follows –

Gents – 1st Robbie Scott (222); 2nd William Watson (220); 3rd Tom Neilson (212); and 4th Alex Watt Jnr (210).
