Yorkshire AGM

The Yorkshire Club recently held their AGM and new President Brian Moorhouse (Aireburn) was elected, taking over from Chris Hardcastle (Saltergate) who has done an excellent job for the past two years. Roger Hildreth remains as Chairman and Rachel Coates as Secretary, with Rachel Richardson coming on board to help out in a HYB role. Also with three new young committee members being elected, the club is looking forward to a great year in 2017.
 
Following the formal part of the meeting, a quiz was held, presided over by Graham Kirby.

This year in conjunction with Craven Cattle Marts we are having two sales the first on 24th April and the second on 4th September, for further details please contact Sam Bradley at CCM.
 
Our judging season kicked off with a visit to the North East Club, hosted by HS Petch & Sons Ltd (Aytonian) on 28th April, the following week we visited Metcalfe Farms (Washfold) – results to follow.
 
Our Six out of Thirty evening will be held on Friday 9th June at Oxton Farm, Tadcaster, where we are looking forward to a great evening judging Dairy Shorthorns. 
 
Our Herd Competition, with new classes for 2017, will be judged on the 3rd and 4th of July with the winner of best herd announced at The Great Yorkshire Show.
 
We have a couple of social evenings planned and are looking into a day trip, details of which will be released soon.
