Lancashire AGM

Our AGM was held in March and our newly elected officers are;
President, Mr Mark Atkinson, Wyredale Herd.
Chairman; Mr Richard Gorst, Saltoke Herd.
V.Chairman; Mr Stephen Garth, Bowlandview Herd.
Treasurer; Mr David Tomlinson, Bilsrow Herd.
 
Elected on to the committee for Mid and S.Lancashire was Mr Henry Sanderson. For the Lancaster area was Mr Stephen Lawson and for East Lanc’s and S. Yorks. Area was Mr Martyn  Bristol.
 
The results were announced for our Winter Herds competitions which had been kindly judged in February by Mr David Lawson of the Newbirks Herd.

There were presentations made too for points realised at the 2016 monthly shows and sales at Lancaster NW Auctions….they were; Vendor with the highest priced female- M.J.& H. Atkinson with Wyredale Seaver Sylvia 87 for £2,420 at the January Sale.
 
Highest points gained at the pre -sale shows-- J. Burrow & Son, Stardale Herd
Highest average price for the top 8 females—Drinkall Bros. Pennine Herd with an average of £1,968.
All the Awards were kindly presented by Mrs Pamela Booth. We were very happy that Mr David Lawson was able to be in attendance and is in the photograph along with the trophy winners. 
Future Events;  20th June one day trip to visit  Hillhead Holsteins and Ve-Tech Holsteins.
7th July –first Friday night of July—Our very popular Treasure Tramp, this year, courtesy of the Wallbank family at Far Barn, Abbeystead. Nr Lancaster.
