We have recently had two exceptional judging evenings, jointly held with our friends in the North Eastern club. Firstly at HS Petch & Sons, in a wonderful setting under Roseberry Topping. Master judge was Mr. Lee Graham. Three great classes to judge, results are as follows: – Junior 1st Will Jennings, Intermediate 1st Ben Coates, 2nd Lydia Griffiths Senior 1st Fran Griffiths, 2nd Megan Thomas, 3rd Sally Howarth.

Sweep winner was Anna Goldie from NE club

Our second evening was held a week later at Metcalfe Farms, this was the evening before their open day and we were treated to a preview. All the contracting equipment out on display and the farm looking splendid. There was a great turn out from both clubs. Members judged two classes, master judge being Mr. Robert Butterfield. Results were:- Juniors 1st John Simpson, 2nd Will Jennings, Intermediates 1st Lydia Griffiths, 2nd Ben Coates, 3rd Tom Ayrton, Seniors 1st Fran Griffiths, 2nd Zoe Coates, 3rd Megan Thomas. Sweep winners were Stephen Britton, Robert Crozier, Stephen Crozier, Tom Ayrton and Neil Eastham

Overall results:- Junior 1st Will Jennings, 2nd John Simpson, Intermediate 1st Ben Coates, 2nd Lydia Griffiths, 3rd Tom Ayrton, Senior 1st Fran Griffiths, 2nd Megan Thomas, 3rd Sally Howarth. 

Members enjoyed an excellent Six out of Thirty evening held on Friday 9th June at Oxton Farm, Tadcaster, by kind permission of Mr. H Smith where we had a great night judging Dairy Shorthorns. HYB winner was Natasha Jennings and sweep won by Sarah Williams.

Our second club sale at Craven Cattle Mart, Skipton was very encouraging and the next sale will be held on Monday 4th September, details from Sam Bradley at CCM.
