Annual General Meeting
Held at the Alltyrafon Hotel near Haverfordwest the following appointments were made for the coming year
President John Evans Maesyrafon
President Elect Paul Williams Waliswood
Chairman Wyn Jones Feithy
Vice Chairman Lynley Griffiths Fenni
All other officials remained unchanged and four new members joined the executive committee.
Following a meal Huw Williams Local representative for Elanco, a staunch supporter of the club and its activities spoke on his vision for the future and the importance of supporting and nurturing our younger members.

In May a herd visit to the Rhydygors herd, finalists in the 2016  Gold Cup competition gave over 70 members an opportunity to view winners of the winter production competitions whilst also having an insight into the feeding practices of the herd by Andrew Holland, a consultant nutritionist. Society geneticist, Darren Todd,was present to detail genomic testing of youngstock  a process being employed within the Rhydygors herd.
During the day All Wales awards were presented which are reported elsewhere in this issue.

Early June saw two stockjudging evenings hosted by the owners of the Feithy and Brydan herds.
Master judges were Tomos Davies(Rhydygors) and Russel Law (Fryn) with the following teams selected to compete in the national final:Bethan Phillips, Rhys Jones, Arwel Thomas, Nia Thomas, Owain Thomas, Iwan Thomas and Robbie Reed. The same members also form the Linear Scoring finalists selected by Iwan Thomas ( HUK)

Late June will see our Herds Competition judged by Michael George (Brynhyfryd) a new Bull Progeny competition in August with arrangements  for a tour of Scottish herds in September
