The Annual Herd Competition 2016 once again saw new members gaining prizes , with the younger generation in particular doing extremely well . Tudur Parry as a first generation Dairy Producer gaining first place in the Small Herds Competition . Whilst an icon from past Brookvie Tony Charity with a descendant Hendy Goldwyn Rhiannon winning the Brood Cow section , in the age of “ genomic selection ” it is nice to see the older bloodlines still making their mark!

This years AGM was held at Grosvenor Farms courtesy of Cogent UK , a very impressive set up with modern facilities including a rotary parlour . Sion Parry their geneticist provided an insight to the “ cow index ” which ranked every individual on farm . Thanks to Richard Bostock and Sion Parry for arranging .
