Derbyshire
members have been busy again with their stock judging evenings 1st night was
held by kind permission of D J Metcalf & Family Leasow Farm,
Muggington. A very good turn out on a
lovely sunny night our master judge for the evening was Mr Eddie Griffiths.
Our 2nd
stock judging was held at JM & CM Wainwright & Family at Dowlow Farm,
Ashbourne Road, Buxton. Another great turn out with Master Judge being Mr Paul
Fenton and Mr Andrew Spicer as Linear Judge for HYB members.

As I write
this we are hosting Mr Michael Lawrence from Lancashire who has 3 busy days
judging our herd competition with 2 new entries this year and the club is
looking forward to our day trip to visit the Samlea and Stardale herd in
Lancashire. We are also running a trip
to the Genus Bull stud in Ruthin and our social for November will be an evening
with Mr Charles Hanson with Antiques.
This year
our calf show will be held at Westhills Equestrian, Islington Lane, Winster,
Derbyshire, DE4 2DD on Sunday 1st October. Please come along and
support our young members on this very exciting journey to which calves will
travel to the ABAB calf show at Malvern. Anyone interested in showing their
