Calved heifers sold to 2,200gns on two occasions at the June Monthly Collective Sale of Dairy Cattle at Ross-on-Wye Cattle Market.
The first to make 2,200gns was a calved heifer by Atwood from Geoff Williams, Hay-on-Wye, whose consignment of three heifers averaged £2,072.
The other 2,200gns calved heifer was by Zelgadis and sold by Richard Lewis of Carmarthen who also sold a non-registered calved heifer for 1,880gns. His entry of four warranted heifers averaged £1,932.
John and Rob Hoggins of Abergavenny sold a calved heifer by Woodmarsh Metallic for 2,100gns.
Top priced cow was a third calver from Robert and Linda Tarver of Evesham which sold for 1,780gns with a second calver from John and Rob Hoggins selling for 1,750gns.
The reduction sale of the Spring calving section of the commercial grazing herd of Friesians and cross-breds sold to 1,500gns for fourth calvers, 1,420gns for second calvers and 1,480gns for first calvers.
