<<< Back to Sale Reports

“A truly spectacular trade with quality in abundance” was the way that auctioneer Gwilym Richards described the auction at the July monthly sale at Ross-on-Wye Cattle Market with buyers and sellers in attendance stretching across England and Wales from Warwickshire to Pembrokeshire.

Top price was 2,150gns for a calved heifer from Robert and Linda Tarver of Pershore, Worcestershire, with their cows selling to 2,100gns for a 4th calver.

A total of 7 heifers and cows sold made 2,000gns and above including Eryl Done of Hereford (2,100gns), Geoff Morgan of Tewkesbury (2,020gns and 2,000gns), John Hoggins of Abergavenny (2,050gns) and Rowlands & Lewis of Pembrokeshire (2,020gns).

With several buyers being unable to fill their trailers and lorries, many more could have been sold to take advantage of this level trade.

The next monthly collective sale will be on Thursday 10th August 2017.
