An impressive entry of almost 200 dairy cattle saw a total clearance to a top of 2150gns on three occasions for Roland and Simon Bugler’s “Bettiscombe” breeding. The first being a second calver consigned by R Puddy & Son as part of their ongoing dispersal. The second and third were calved heifers “Bettiscombe Iota Wendy 2nd” and “Bettiscombe Bookmark Miss America” part of a consignment of 10 from “Bettiscombe” which averaged £1956.

Others from the collective fresh milk section sold to 2000gns for the second calver “Moorshard Sammy Amanda” from RK & SG Miller & Sons and the calved heifers “Hinton Superstyle Destiny” and “Hinton Mogul Ruby” from RD Horton & Son.

Collective incalf heifers sold to 1350gns from first time consigners Sparsholt College for “Sparsholt Morale Hetty Red” due in March to the Hereford and “Broadleaze Armani Hetty” also due March from L & IR Loader.

Yearling heifers from Sparsholt College sold to 780gns for “Sparsholt Grafeeti Bounce” and commercial heifer calves from The Mapledurham Trust to 370gns.

Holstein bulls from VJ Price & Son sold to 1000gns for August – September 2016 born sons of “EDG Esther Estate”.

The day included the second sale from W & P Ives “Gladwake” herd which produced dams and daughters to 2150gns. Cows sold to 1900gns for the second calver “Gladwake Jeeves Henja 2nd” and 1800gns for the third calver “Gladwake Windbrook Roxy VG85”. Their incalf heifers sold to 1420gns for “Gladwake Canuto Lady” due March to “Denmire Moonraker”. A superb consignment of maiden heifers generated much interest selling to 960gns for the October 2016 born “Gladwake Moonraker Juliet” with a PLI of £242. Heifer calves by “Topcroft Pesky Trix” out of a VG85 dam sold to 450gns.
