The Isdon Farm Sale of Dairy Cattle and
Machinery on Wednesday 7th March for TE Pocock & Co. drew an exceptional
crowd for the 325 cattle and surplus machinery and dairy equipment on offer.
98 successful purchasers from as far as Cornwall,
Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Wales produced a top price of 2050gns for the
September calved heifer “Wintersell Verna 217th” that was giving 32.7 kgs and
travelled back to Pembrokeshire.
A very strong incalf heifer trade topped
at 1850gns for “Melcombe Pluto Jackie 3rd” due in a month to “Wintersell Milo”
(sexed semen). “Broadleaze Armani Hetty” due to the Hereford at the end of March
sold to 1700gns.
