Another cracking entry of 90 animals on the 18th April totalled 190 animals sold over the last fortnight through Hassall Brothers weekly sale at Market Drayton.

The quality on the day was a little more mixed than we have seen of late; however there was someone keen to buy all lots on offer and trade was consistent from the start to the finish. With what felt like the first day of spring, the concern was that it would have detracted from the sale but certainly the bidders around the ring were there to do business, 23 successful purchasers in all and many going home empty handed.

The milking section of the sale witnessed 54 fresh calved milking cows and heifers pass through the ring, with trade led by a super heifer from Messrs G J Sutton of Bent Farm, Astbury, who consigned three smashing heifers to average £2043.33.
Rowarton Krusader Orchid 4
