The show was sponsored by Paragon Veterinary Group, Cogent and Advanced Nutrition and skilfully judged by Andrew Wilson from the Northshields Holstein herd.  He selected Petteril Dynamic Martha consigned by Stephen and Ann Morley from the prize winning Petteril herd, for his Overall Champion and Champion Udder.  She was a beautiful heifer with the most stylish frame and perfectly attached mammary.  She was sired by Berryholme Dynamic who is an EX94 son of the famous Berryholme Shottle Flo.  Her maternal cow family traced back to Moet Manger Martha EX91 who was a top bull mother at the start of the century.   She sold for the top price of the day for 2,900gns to an undisclosed buyer.

The Reserve Champion went to Espland Sue 3 consigned by Alan Cannon from Espland Hill, Appleby.  She was sired by Masterful and bred from a VG Shadow dam and an EX Spirte grand dam both with high butterfat and protein.  Sue sold for 1,900gns to TH & J Robinson Burtholme Farm, Brampton.  Alan Cannon sold another three heifers to average over £2000 topping at 2,100gns for Espland Impression Angela 5.  She was sired by the Immunity Plus sire Monument Impression and was purchased by Mark Shiels Little Auchengibbert Farm, Ayrshire.

The Petteril herd owned Stephen and Ann Morley sold another special heifer with a world class pedigree for 2,500gns. Petteril Pirate Ghost was bred from ten generations of Excellent or Very Good cows from the amazing Ghost cow family. Her dam was an EX91 Talent with huge production, up to 15,000kgs and over 80 ton lifetime.  The grand dam was a sister to the 27,000gns Ridgefield Terrison Ghost EX94 followed by the famous show cow Ridgefield Storm Ghost.  She was bought by J McCulloch & Sons West High Ardwell Farm, Stranraer.

The Errolston herd owned by the Davidson family near Gretna sold a number of very milky cows and heifers all with deep pedigrees that displayed longevity, fertility and durability.  Topping this outstanding group was Errolston Proper Fran 2 sired by Errolston Proper and bred from seven generations of Excellent or Very Good dams from the Chief Faith cow family.  The first three dams in her pedigree were all Excellent with massive lifetime yields over 110 ton.  She sold for 2,400gns to J McCulloch & Sons West High Ardwell Farm, Stranraer.
