28-07-2010 - 2,400 guinea Stardale heifer tops Lancaster Sale

A small but quality entry drew several buyers to the July Lancaster Dairy sale on Tuesday this week with a top price of 2,400 guineas. Stardale Dictator Vaakje 4, a daughter of Overside Dictator was made Champion earlier in the day and sold giving 34kg daily to regular buyer Neil Sanderson from Cumbria.

 

Wilson & Stephen Boow showed the top priced cow at 2,000 guineas. The Dunnerdale herd was presented with a “ Master Breeder” award by the HUK Society at the Great Yorkshire Show last week and Dunnerdale Drake Helen sold to Messrs Wallbank, giving 49kg daily 6 weeks into her second lactation.

 

4 other heifers sold in the 1,900’s with Ian & Richard Gorst’s Saltoke Rebecca 122, the Reserve Champion making 1,950.

 

AVERAGE: 14  Females avgd. £1,875.00
