Tuesday 23rd November saw a small but quality show of cattle ensuring a 100% clearance at the LHBC November show and sale. Judge Mr. J. Crosier (Whinhill) Chose the 2nd calved cow Arnot Carlina 140 SP as his champion. Bred from 6 generations of VG/EX this beautiful daughter of Boulet Charles and a 70 tonne EX Comestar Leader dam off a 92 tonne VG88 point g.dam was later purchased by the judge for the days top price of 2,000 gns. Reserve champion was Messrs Burrows heifer Stardale Sparks VaakjeDescended from 8 generations of VG/EX and giving 37 litres she was purchased for 1600 gns. by Colin Dent for his Bridge End Herd. Top priced heifer was Stardale Cut Madrigal sold to J. Harrison of Penrith for 1,940 gns.
