04-03-2011 - Holstein bulls to 3,400gns at Kilrea

A large crowd attended Holstein NI’s pedigree bull show and sale, held at Kilrea Mart. Breeders from throughout the Province were represented in the catalogue, with quality bulls a sharp trade.
 
Judge, James Gilliland, placed the bulls on show from some of the top names in the breed. A special thanks to the sponsors of the event Genus ABS with Billy Rogers in attendance to award the prizes.

The champion of the show was Inch Toymaster from the herd of Jim Morrison and Sons, Downpatrick. This quality bull was sired by Jenny-Lou Mrshl Toystory and out of Inch September VG 88. Inch Toymaster was sold for 3,400gns.

The reserve champion of the show was Millars Mr Samuelo from the herd of Martin Millar, Coleraine. This quality bull was sired by Regancrest- Mr Samuelo and out of Topstall Garrison Valerie VG88.

The second reserve champion was Millars Samson again from the herd of Martin Millar, and out of dam Pumplaburn Brett Lora.
