Buyers were present in abundance filling the outside of the ring while inside the ring was filled with quality from the first lot. 58 different purchasers achieved an average of £1305 with over a fifth of the animals over 1600gns. Top price came later in the sale, and was Glemais Montague Leila VG87. By Ladys-Manor Montague and out of Crundale Format Leila EX90 she had calved since November and was giving 32kg of milk daily. She was a heifer full of class right through her shape with a tremendous udder. She went to the Geuffordd Herd of Breeze Farms Ltd in Cilrhedyn for 3200gns. Next was 3rd calver Glemais Lucente Flora 2 EX90. After producing over 11000kg in her second lactation she was now a month calved and giving a massive 51.2kg of milk daily. She joined the Caria herd of DA & CL Owens, Manor, St Clears for 2300gns. Eight other lots achieved 2000gns and over and the literage of milk and the high classifications throughout the catalogue were both reflected in the prices and the amount and speed of bidding right through to the end of the auction.
