The dispersal of the Riggfoot herd was held at Borderway on Wednesday 4th April on behalf of Messrs E A H Simpson & Son of Riggfoot Farm, Kirklinton. A large attendance of buyers were present from Scotland and Northern England. This milk recorded herd of cows sold to a top price of 2250gns purchased by MG & S Harper of West House, Dearham, second top price was 2150gns purchased by Messrs Miller of Tarn Lodge, Heads Nook, followed by 2100gns sold to Messrs Chester of Brownrigg Hall, Allonby. All cattle sold well, with both purchasers and the vendor going home happy.
