<<< Back to Sale Reports

Despite the perfect silage making and maize drilling weather, quality cattle were still in demand at the ‘Jubilee’ Collective held at SAC on Tuesday 22nd May.

Regular consigners Roland and Simon Bugler from Dorset topped the day at 2150 gns for ‘Bettiscombe Tennyson Tilly 161st’ a ‘Shottle granddaughter giving 32 kgs having called in May sold to Gloucestershire. A ‘Ricki’  ‘Enid’ ‘Eden’ and ‘Dagmar’ from’ Bettiscombe’ all broke the 2000 gn barrier as did ‘Poynings L Baxter Adelaide’ who was consigned by ‘Ashlea Farm Services, Bristol.

Cows topped 2100 gns for first time consigners R & SA Manley for their organic 2nd calver ‘Primehill DI 2nd’ by Shottle. His consignment of 10 1st -5th lactation organic cows averaged £1834, well worth the trip down from High Wycombe.
