Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt report an electric trade for fresh milk at their Annual Top 10% and Seasonality Sale on Tuesday 21st August.  No less than 50 different purchasers from Cornwall to Camarthen & Leicestershire made the most of the opportunity to purchase from some of the very best of West Country Herds.  The collective fresh milk topped @ 2450gns on two occasions both for Ashlea Holsteins with their calved heifers “Nuthatch Million Nellie 3rd” by England-Ammon Million ET and out of a 10,000kg vG88 Dam and “Nevilles Shottle Binnie” in the Top 10% of the breed with a PIN£19 and PLI£99.  At 2300gns was Nick Goss’s “Poynings L Baxter Showgirl” out of a 12,000kg dam.  Other vendors with calved heifers over 2000gns were Richard Trott, RT Cox “Holmead”, B & KA Follett “Ebble”, Roland & Simon Bugler “Bettiscombe”, PJ Andrews “Beneknowle” & R Rose & Son “Intheshade”.  The Collective Cows sold to 2300gns for the 2nd calver “Beneknowle Baxter Amy 33rd GP81” from the Andrews family.
