Paydon Dispersal Sale

 

Kivells dispersed the Paydon herd of Pedigree Holsteins & Jerseys on behalf of Messrs JRW and LE Paynter & Son, North Petherwin. A packed ring of buyers attended to see this wonderful herd go under the hammer, a real credit to the Paynter Family. A superb trade was seen from start to finish for all classes and the Holsteins saw 22 over the £2000 with the in milk averaging £1797. Top price of £2730 for Paydon Toystory Caye a freshly calved heifer with 8 generations of VG/EX behind her. Her heifer calf born April 2013 sold well to £945. Another freshly calved heifer selling with 5 generations of VG/EX behind her Paydon Dotson Gloriette GP81 selling to £2468. Her March 2013 born heifer calf Paydon Stanley Gloriette sold to a top price of £1155.  More heifers reaching a high price for Paydon Glory Marissa selling to £2205.

 

Top price for the cows went to a second calver Paydon Maestro Skylerae GP83 with 9 generations of VG/EX behind her selling to £2520. Her heifer calf born March 2013 also sold to £945. This was followed by Paydon Bolton Soup GP82 another second calver selling to £2415. Two more top price second calvers Paydon Glory Fortune VG86 and Paydon Bolton Patsy GP83 sold to £2205. A price of note went to fourth calver Paydon C Stormatic Fleur EX91 (2) sold with 11 generations of VG/EX and back in calf due January selling to £2205.   

 

The Paydon herd of Jersey cows and heifers sold to an exceptional trade with plenty of buyers looking to source quality Jerseys and sold to a top price of £1943 for Paydon Belles Crimson VG86 a second calver sired by Potterswall Belles Pride. Others sold to £1680 Paydon Hallmark Crimson GP81 and £1628 for Paydon BP Crimson both freshly calved heifer. Jersey in calf heifers sold to £1260 for Paydon Flagship Crimson a heifer due in December. Young Jersey calves were off the clock selling to £609 twice for Paydon DJ May Crimson and Paydon I Pod Crimson both born March and April 2013. 

 

A wonderful group of in calf heifers sold to an amazing top price of £2205 for Paydon Xacobeo due in October to Gillette Stanleycup (sexed semen). Paydon Jordan Tanya due November to Texel Beauty Cosmo sold to £1838. Paydon Shottle Faye due December to Cogent Twist (sexed semen) sold to £1806. This consignment of in calf and recently served heifers averaged £1301.

 

Bulling heifers sold to a flying trade topping at £1575 for Paydon Buckeye Skylerae a March 2012 born heifer selling with 9 generations of VG/EX behind her. Paydon G Jordan Fleur a February 2012 born heifer with 12 generations of VG/EX behind her sold to £1470.

 

Holstein bull Oakroyal Rockafella sired by Magor Bolivia Allen sold to £1103.
