Nevertheless the first quality animals were still in good demand with a top price of £2300 for Pengelli Mickey Jill, a 6 gallon heifer from Jones, Pengelli Uchaf and went to Jenkins, Lower House, Spittal. A second Pengelli heifer also sold to Mr Jenkins at £1950 for Pengelli Simms Heather. Other leading prices were £2250 for Coedllwyd Montague Jingle 11from Jones, Llwydcoed Isaf, £2100 for Blaengelli Special Emma 2 from Blaengelli Farms Ltd and £2120 for a commercial heifer from Brown, Penybanc Bach.
