The Wright Marshall Month End Sale saw trade peak at £3500 twice. The sale included consignments of in-calf Holstein
heifers from the Po Valley in Northern Italy and the first European
dispersal to be held in the UK which was the entire in-calf and maiden
heifer dispersal from the top pedigree Holstein herd of the Bielefeld
family from the Osnabruck region of North West Germany.
Leading
the trade was the dispersal of Christian Bielefeld's youngstock from
Osnabruck, Germany which hit £3500 twice. The first to make this money
was Destiny, a naturally polled December 2012-born heifer by Tiger-Lily
Ladd P Red. She carries nine generations of dams scored in the top two
grades and sold to Paul and Ruth Robinson for their Woodhey herd,
Nantwich.
Next to make the same price was the October 2013-born
Emilia, by De-Su Freddie Galaxy she is out of a VG87 scored dam by
Snowman. Emilia is maternal sister to a bull on the Osnabruck Bull
programme. She was purchased by Dylan Jones for his Madryn herd,
Pwllheli.
Close behind at £3400 was BIL Hurry, a January 2013-born
daughter of the Morningview Legend son Lector. She is carrying an
embryo by Aurora-Rama Archive Red from the heart of the Roxy family, the
resulting calf has very high genomic potential. Cameron Baty purchased
her for his Tynevalley herd.
A daughter of the Superstition son,
Summer made £3000 to Adam Mares, Darwen, Lancashire. She is carrying an
embryo by LLM President, a Numero Uno son and out of a maiden heifer by
McCutcheon that has a VG85 classified Manoman sired dam. A further seven
heifers made over £2000 from this dispersal.
Top price from the
UK selection was a £2250 bid which secured the well bred heifer Radnor
Mastermind Chanel from David Jones' herd at Presteigne, Powys. Sired by
the Fradon Jet-Red son Sterndale Mastermind she is out of a Damion sired
dam.
Martin and Jackie Monckton from Blandford Forum sold a Red
and White in-calf heifer by Mr Burns Maxwell Red for £2200. She is
in-calf to sexed Jotan Red.
Making £2180 was Onston Mammoth Darkie
111th from Tom Rowland, Barnton, she carries two generations of
excellent scored dams and sold giving 34kg a day.
Next in the
money was George Sanderson from Blackleach, Preston, who sold a
Woodmarsh Merchant daughter at £2100 and a Talent sired heifer from his
Present family at £2000.
In-calf Holstein

daughter of Adelaide and Alfrag Jake Blade that are due at the end of
August.
