2,000 guineas was the top price at the dispersal sale of the Severnhall herd of Holstein Friesians for The Baber Farming Partnership at Newnham on Severn, near Gloucester, with buyers attending from Cornwall to Scotland.

Purchasers of the top priced animal were C T & S E C James of Pembrokeshire.  They acquired a November calved 2nd calver by Green Corner Mahogany which had yielded 10,691kgs as a heifer.

Another Welsh buyer, A M Windsor of Churchstoke, Powys, paid 1,950gns for a Bomaz Homestead daughter which was 2 months into her 2nd lactation after giving 11,097kgs as a heifer.

In-calf heifers peaked at 1,580gns for a July calving daughter of Jurus off a 13,146kgs dam.  The purchasers were Go Farm of Usk, Monmouthshire.

Bulling heifers sold to 900gns for a Kampman daughter out of 14,299kgs dam.  The buyers were J & N Biddle of Berkeley, Gloucestershire.

Heifer calves reached a top price of 650 guineas for a 5 month old grand daughter of a Penrikka cow.
