Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt were on farm at Lympsham, Weston-Super-Mare for the dispersal sale of Mr Paul Baker’s British Friesian cows and in-calf heifers.
 
The 177 lots forward sold to 32 successful purchasers from across the west and Wales. Dairy cows sold to 1,240gns for a fresh third calver, another April calved third lactation cow sold for 1,180gns.
 
The trade of the day was for the 35 in-calf heifers, which sold to 1,020gns for two daughters of Catlane Magna. 
The British Friesian bull Lakemead Stanton sold for 1,200gns.
 
A well-attended day which yet again demonstrated a very strong demand for autumn milk.
